The Safety Aspect of the shock deterrent, have been ensured since its inception be having it tested on an ongoing bases by South African Bureau of Standards to International IEC safety regulations. Our shock deterrent, unlike some similar international counterparts, does not burn the skin or leave any permanent damage but offers very effective protection through its application. There are also no firing of dangerous projectiles to puncture the skin.

The Shock Effect, Although the voltage is very high, ranging between 80 000 volts to 200 000 volts, the current rating is very low, less than 1.5 milliamperes well below 10 milliamps, at this high voltage not to cause a fatal electric shock but still enough to have a painful effect. Although our output voltage is lower than some similar imported products on the market, our energy level is higher at approx. 27 millijoules, well below the allowed 8 Joules IEC safety rating which will bring the attacker an extreme amount of discomfort and pain.

 With emphasis on deterrent, all products are designed in such a way that a blue crackling spark similar to lightning is clearly visible when the products are used. It is therefore seldom necessary to make contact, as the mere sight of this awesome display of power is enough to put any would-be aggressor off, hence restoring law and order with minimum force with no harmful after effects.  The latter cannot be claimed with the use of normal batons or firearms or even Taser type Guns.
