The law turns its spotlight on Clinton Nassif

Date: 01 Mar 2007
Controversial security boss Clinton Nassif found himself the focus of the Scorpions’ attention again yesterday. Nassif’s luxury house in Johannesburg’s South Rand was reportedly raided by the crime-fighting unit. The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) would not confirm the raid. But on visiting the premises late yesterday, The Citizen asked the security guard if the NPA had already left, to which he responded “yes”. The search-and-seize operation is believed to be linked to the investigation into the affairs of deceased mining magnate Brett Kebble. Nassif was arrested last year on fraud charges after a Scorpions’ investigation into criminal networks around Kebble. Nassif used to supply security services for Kebble’s JCI Group.
